Free Renpho Health tool

Chart every metric from your Renpho scale

Drop in the CSV you export from the Renpho Health app and see body fat mass, muscle mass, visceral fat, BMR and every other measurement your smart scale takes as a graph over time, each with its daily rate, trend, highest and lowest. Your file never leaves your browser.

Read in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Why I made this

I weigh myself on a Renpho MorphoScan Nova and use the Renpho Health app. It charts body fat percentage, but the number I actually wanted to watch was my body fat mass: kilos of fat, going down over time. The app doesn’t show a trend for it, or for most of the other measurements.

It does let you export everything as a CSV, so I built this to chart every column, with the same daily rate, trend, highest and lowest the app shows. It’s free to use, and it’s part of Strengthen, the workout tracker I made for my own training.

Three steps

  1. 1Export your dataIn the Renpho Health app, find the option to export your measurements (in the app's settings or your profile) and save the CSV file.
  2. 2Drop it inChoose the file above. It’s read on your device, never uploaded.
  3. 3Pick a metricBody fat mass, muscle mass, water, BMR: switch between them and between a week, a month, three months, a year or everything.

Got a different scale?

I built this around my own scale, the Renpho MorphoScan Nova, and the Renpho Health app’s export. If you have another smart scale and its export doesn’t work here, let me know. Send me a note (and a sample of the columns if you can) and we’ll work together to make the tool work with it, for you and everyone else with that scale.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. The tool is free to use and doesn't need an account. If you'd like your history saved and added to over time, you can import the same file into Strengthen, which is free to use too.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Your CSV is read and charted entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. It's only saved if you choose to import it into a Strengthen account.

Why doesn't the Renpho app show a body fat mass trend?

The Renpho Health app charts some measurements, like weight and body fat percentage, but not every one of them, and body fat mass (kilos of fat rather than a percentage) is one it doesn't graph. The number is in your data export, though, and this tool charts it, along with every other column.

How do I export my data from the Renpho Health app?

The Renpho Health app can export your measurements as a CSV file; look for the export option in the app's settings or your profile. Save the file or send it to yourself, then open it here. Menus move between app versions, so if you can't find it, get in touch and I'll help.

Can I open a Renpho CSV in Excel or Google Sheets instead?

Yes, it's an ordinary CSV file, so Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets all open it. You'd then need to tidy the columns and build a chart for each metric yourself. This tool reads the columns for you and charts every metric at once, with the same stats the Renpho app shows.

Does it work if my scale is set to pounds?

Yes. The tool reads whether your export is in kilograms or pounds and shows masses in the same unit.

Which scales and apps does it work with?

It's built and tested with the Renpho Health app's CSV export from the Renpho MorphoScan Nova body composition smart scale. Other Renpho scales that export the same columns should work too. If yours doesn't, get in touch and we'll make it work.

Which metrics can I chart?

Every numeric column in the export: weight, bmi, body fat, body fat mass, muscle, muscle mass, skeletal muscle, skeletal muscle mass, bone, bone mass, protein, protein mass, body water, body water mass, fat-free mass, subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, bmr, metabolic age, waist-to-hip ratio.

How are the rate, trend, highest and lowest worked out?

The same way the Renpho Health app shows them. A week or a month charts each weigh-in: the trend is the last minus the first, and the daily rate spreads that over the days between them. Three months charts weekly averages, with a weekly rate, and a year or everything charts monthly averages, with a monthly rate. Highest and lowest look across all of your measurements.
